Blair Chinnery

I support clients who feel stuck in anxiety, stress and overwhelm, low mood, and trauma-related patterns—using TRTP (The Richards Trauma Process), a structured, sequenced process designed for resolution.

My Story

Generally, I am probably a bit of a serial optimist balanced with an analytical and inquisitive mind.

I am the same as everyone, in that my story is unique, it’s personal to me. From a very young age I quickly learnt how to adapt, different homes, different people, different environments. Possibly this assisted with the optimist part of me … something new, something shiny. Perhaps it assisted with the analytical part of me … Where’s the danger, how do I fit in here. Or even the inquisitive mind … Is this safe, who can I trust. And this is all only while I was 2 yrs old up until i was 6, so lets skip forward (quite) a few years.

I still am a serial optimist, that is absolutely balanced with an analytical and inquisitive mind. It has been quite the journey, challenges, mistakes, successes, everything that makes us human. I began working at TRTP Therapy with Judith Richards (Creator of TRTP) in 2021 assisting with all aspects of training psychologists, psychotherapists, counsellors and complimentary therapists in the process. For me the logic and simplicity of the process was an absolute stand out. My understanding of mental health changed dramatically, there is more than just managing symptoms that can be achieved. And this all brings us to here and now, I needed to be a part of what is possible. I needed to be able to help people resolve their trauma (Big and small). To do it in a way that is structured, safe and effective in just a short space of time and a process that has so much compassion and authenticity embedded into it, I just had to be a part of that!

Who I help

I work with women and men who are ready to do focused, structured work and want practical outcomes.

People who want change, are ready for change and are committed for change.

You may be a fit for working together if you’re experiencing:

If you’re unsure, start with a short conversation and we’ll discuss suitability.

My work within TRTP

Since 2021, I have been the General Manager at TRTP, working directly with Judith Richards and supporting the training and development of practitioners in the process.

This means I’m immersed in TRTP every day—how it’s delivered, how it’s taught, and what it looks like when it works well. I bring that depth of process understanding into my client work: structured, clear, and outcome-focused.

Why I believe TRTP Changes Lives

Many people have done a lot of “work” on themselves and still feel stuck. They understand what happened. They can explain their patterns. But their body reacts as if the past is still happening.

Or, some people just accept thing as “Who they Are”, I am just naturally an anxious person, depressive person… and these symptoms become our identifiers

In my experience, this is one of the biggest reasons people feel frustrated: the present moment gets the blame, but the nervous system is also reacting to unresolved events from the past.

TRTP’s logic is simple:

  • If the system is reacting too strongly today, something older may still be driving the response.

  • When the underlying drivers are resolved, the reaction becomes proportionate to the present.

  • That creates space for calm, confidence, and enjoyment to become normal again.

This is the shift clients often want:

  • less “managing” and more living

  • more emotional capacity and steadiness

  • empowerment, self-trust, and forward momentum

What to expect working with me

I keep the process calm, structured, and supportive.

  1. Initial conversation — what you’re experiencing and what you want to change

  2. Suitability + plan — we confirm fit and explain how sessions work

  3. Guided sessions — paced, structured, and aligned to the TRTP Structure

  4. Integration — supporting the change to hold in everyday life

My Style and values

  • Clarity: you’ll understand what we’re doing and why
  • Structure: the work follows a coherent process, not guesswork
  • Momentum: we keep moving toward outcomes
  • Honesty: Nothing more, nothing less
  • Resolution: the goal TRTP is resolution, not ongoing management
