Blair Chinnery works with people who are tired of managing the same emotional reactions, repeating the same patterns, and feeling like they should be “over it by now” — but aren’t.
As a Certified TRTP Practitioner, TRTP Trainer and General Manager at TRTP, Blair brings a rare level of insight to The Richards Trauma Process. Since 2021, he has worked full-time within TRTP, closely alongside Judith Richards, supporting practitioner training, mentoring development, and seeing the process applied across a wide range of client experiences. This has given him a deep understanding of not only how TRTP works, but why structure, clarity and safety matter so much when working with trauma, stress and long-held emotional responses.
Blair works with men and women experiencing anxiety, stress, overwhelm, low mood, anger, self-doubt, confidence issues, relationship struggles, and trauma-related reactions that keep showing up in daily life. Many of his clients have already tried to think their way through the problem, talk themselves out of it, or rely on coping strategies — only to find the same internal response still gets triggered.
His approach is calm, honest and practical. Blair does not believe in overcomplicating the work or hiding behind jargon. He creates a grounded, respectful space where clients can speak openly, be met without judgement, and move through a clear process designed to address what is happening beneath the surface.
Clients often describe Blair as optimistic, direct and genuine. He brings compassion without fluff, honesty without harshness, and structure without pressure. His focus is always on helping people understand what is driving their reactions, rather than simply managing the symptoms on top.
For Blair, TRTP is about helping people stop living from old events, old beliefs and old survival patterns. The aim is not to endlessly revisit the past, but to help the mind and body recognise that the threat is over — so clients can move forward with more calm, confidence and choice.
If you have done a lot of work on yourself and still feel caught in the same patterns, Blair offers a free strategy session to explore whether TRTP may be the right fit for you.
I work with women and men who are ready to do focused, structured work and want practical outcomes.
People who want change, are ready for change and are committed for change.
You may be a fit for working together if you’re experiencing:
anxiety, hypervigilance, or a nervous system that won’t switch off
stress and overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, or shutdown
low mood, flatness, disconnection, or loss of motivation
confidence and self-esteem struggles
relationship triggers and repeated patterns
If you’re unsure, start with a short conversation and we’ll discuss suitability.
Since 2021, I have been the General Manager at TRTP, working directly with Judith Richards and supporting the training and development of practitioners in the process.
This means I’m immersed in TRTP every day—how it’s delivered, how it’s taught, and what it looks like when it works well. I bring that depth of process understanding into my client work: structured, clear, and outcome-focused.
Many people have done a lot of “work” on themselves and still feel stuck. They understand what happened. They can explain their patterns. But their body reacts as if the past is still happening.
Or, some people just accept thing as “Who they Are”, I am just naturally an anxious person, depressive person… and these symptoms become our identifiers
In my experience, this is one of the biggest reasons people feel frustrated: the present moment gets the blame, but the nervous system is also reacting to unresolved events from the past.
TRTP’s logic is simple:
If the system is reacting too strongly today, something older may still be driving the response.
When the underlying drivers are resolved, the reaction becomes proportionate to the present.
That creates space for calm, confidence, and enjoyment to become normal again.
This is the shift clients often want:
less “managing” and more living
more emotional capacity and steadiness
empowerment, self-trust, and forward momentum
I keep the process calm, structured, and supportive.
